Formation of the Supreme Board for Arbitration and Coordination
Ayatollah Khamenei- Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution- in order to assess and advise in matters concerning arbitration and coordination of relations between the three branches of government, according to Article 110, Section 7 of the Constitution, establishes the Supreme Board for Arbitration and Coordination of Relations Between the Three Branches of Government and appoints Ayatollah Hashemi Shahrudi as its chairman.
IR Leader appoints new IRGC commander
Islamic Revolution Leader and Chief Commander of the Armed Forces, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei in a decree issued Saturday appointed a new commander for the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC).

Brigadier General Mohammad Ali Jafari was appointed as the new commander of IRGC. He was also promoted to Major General by the Islamic Revolution Leader. General Jafari was commander of IRGC's ground forces.

IR Leader, in his decree, pointed to General Jafari's brilliant background in the armed forces in different stages.

In a separate decree, Ayatollah Khamenei appointed Brigadier General Yahya Rahim Safavi as his senior advisor and assistant in military affairs. General Safavi was the commander of IRGC.
IR Leader appoints new navy chief
The Islamic Revolution Leader and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ayatollah Sayed Ali Khamenei in a decree on Monday appointed Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari as Commander of the Islamic Republic Army's Navy.

"Per a proposal from General Commander of the Islamic Republic Army and given your good record, I hereby appoint you as Commander of the Islamic Republic Army's Navy. I expect that combat readiness and capabilities of the naval force, which showed remarkable progress during and after the Sacred Defense era would further increase," read the decree.

Ayatollah Khamenei also thanked Rear Admiral Sajjad Kouchaki for his efforts and services during his tenure as Commander of the Islamic Republic Army's Navy and wished him all success.

Considering that Hojjatoleslam-val-Muslemin Hajji Sheikh Mohammad-Ali Movahhedi-Kermani has resigned from his position, I hereby designate you as the Leader's representative in the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC).

The Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei, in a decree issued on September 26, 2005 appointed Rear Admiral Ali Shamkhani director of the Center for Strategic and Defense Studies (CSDS).
