Delegating to a Baker the Payment of kaffārah to the Poor

question| Can we give the amount (i.e. 750 grams of food) of the kaffārah - of breaking a fast with excuse - we owe (for instance, $20 for several days) to the baker and ask him to offer free bread to persons he deems to be in need (faqīr)?

answer| If you are confident that the baker will offer at least 750 grams of bread per person to truly poor individuals on your behalf as payment of your kaffārah, it is permissible to delegate the payment to him; otherwise, it would not absolve you of your obligation.
