              20. Contracting a Marriage

               

              Ruling 299: It is not permissible for Hajj pilgrims in the state of iḥrām to contract a marriage, whether for themselves or someone else, and whether the other party is also in the state of iḥrām or not. If such a marriage contract is performed, it is considered invalid.
              Ruling 300: Regarding the prohibition of performing the marriage contract in the state of iḥrām, there is no difference between permanent and temporary marriage contracts.
