Persian speaking countries urged on

Islamic Revolution Leader Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei said Thursday that the I.R.Iran, Tajikistan and Afghanistan are the three countries with very close bonds, whose interests lie in tight cooperation and implementation of the formerly reached agreements.
Ayatollah Khamenei made the remarks in a meeting with President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and his Afghan and Tajik counterparts, Hamed Karzai and Imamoli Rakhmon on Thursday.
Ayatollah Khamenei said progress, security and development of both Afghanistan and Tajikistan are in Iran’s favor as Iran’s progress and security is absolutely in favor of regional states.
"There are some who are against cooperation between these three countries," the IR Leader said, adding that regional states should counter such threats with vigilance.
Ayatollah Khamenei said the Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to put its expertise in scientific and technological fields at the disposal of Tajikistan and Afghanistan.
Ayatollah Khamenei called on regional states to stand united against enemy's divisive plots, adding that the problems of the Afghan people stem from foreign military presence.
"Foreigners who came to Afghanistan with the slogan of establishing security and democracy are now targeting civilians; their presence has brought nothing but atrocity and corruption for the people of Afghanistan," the Leader said.
"Superpowers only pursue their own interests and has a never-ending greed in the region, but today the situation of the region and the capabilities of these powers are extremely different from the past," Ayatollah Khamenei added.
