The Leader in a meeting with some officials of the Islamic Missiology Organization

Complying with the requirements of cultural work is a crucial strategy

The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution today at noon, in a meeting with the head of the Islamic Missiology Organization and a group of its managers and The Islamic revolution’s department for Arts, considered producing and presenting distinguished products based on new thinking and taking into account the social and cultural requirements of Islamic Missiology, while fully fearing of Allah, the two important tasks of cultural and missiology apparatuses.

Ayatollah Khamenei, while appreciating the good actions carried out by the Islamic Missiology Organization, cited Quranic verses and considered the fear of Allah, meaning “consideration, observance and care”, to be the necessary and constant strategy of activists in the field of culture and missiology and added: Cultural and Missiology institutions and organizations must be very careful that Allah’s words are not disregarded or overlooked under any circumstances and in this regard, one should not be afraid of controversy and accusations.

He did not consider paying attention to social requirements in missiology to be ignoring the fear of Allah and said: Cultural works have some essentials that should be paid full attention to.

He listed attention to the national language in cultural and missiology activities as one of these requirements and said: The language of communication with a young person is different from the language of communication with an ignorant person, just as the language of speaking and spreading Islam in other countries should be different from the cultural and missiology work within the country, including in revolutionary groups.

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution considered the market of new ideas and products to be prosperous inside and outside and said: Be active in this high-customer market by producing new ideas, processing them and turning them into distinguished products with good packaging.

He expressed his dissatisfaction with the lack of effort in this field: The Missiology organization and The Islamic revolution’s department for Arts have done a lot of good work in different areas, but not as much as their 40-year lifespan, so the work and effort should be doubled.

Giving importance to elite human resources as the central axis of cultural institutions, keeping the good forces of the development organization in all fields, taking care of the troops and being wary of the pests of outsourcing cultural and missiology work were four other points of the Leader of the revolution in this meeting.

In this regard, he said: Of course, people’s capacities should be used to the maximum, and the Ammar festival is a good example of this.

Maintaining the vitality, health, happiness and contentment of the people was one of the other points that he expressed as one of the important duties of the cultural and missiology institutions.

The Leader of the revolution explained more about the gravity and importance of this issue and said: Of course, if the economy and people’s lives improve, their happiness and satisfaction will be ensured to some extent, but apart from this issue, it is possible to do various sweet and lively things with the participation of the people themselves.

The last part of Ayatollah Khamenei’s speech in this meeting contained several recommendations, including avoiding factionalism.

He said: We need the unity of the word and empathy in the whole country, let alone the revolutionary institutions that should altogether avoid falling into the trap of various intellectual trends and political factionalism.

Refraining from purely show-case and conspicuous works and being careful of producing neutral works without correct direction were other recommendations of the Leader of the revolution to the head and a number of managers of the Islamic Missiology Organization and The Islamic revolution’s department for Arts.

The head of the Islamic Missiology Organization also reported on the activities in this meeting.

Hujjat al-Islam Mohammad Qomi said: “We have taken youth training, training of forces, and Jihad of explanation (Reclaiming the Narrative) seriously, and we are trying to play our part to help meet the cultural needs of the society, although we are still weak in some areas.

Mr Dadman, the head of The Islamic revolution’s department for Arts, said in a short report: “We have continued the development of the department in the field of literature and books, but we have tried to be active in other cultural, artistic and media fields as well by relying on the brilliant capacity of the youth from all regions of the country.”
