            Ruling 281: Fusūq refers to lying, cursing, or boasting; therefore, the prohibition (ḥarām) of lying and swearing is greater while in the state of iḥrām, but boasting, which is not forbidden (ḥarām) when not in the state of iḥrām, is prohibited (ḥarām) during iḥrām.
            Ruling 282: There is no kaffārah (expiation, atonement) for fusūq, but it is only obligatory for a Hajj pilgrim to seek Allah’s forgiveness (istighfār).
