            19. Hunting [Wild] Desert Animals

Ruling 294: It is forbidden (ḥarām) for a Hajj pilgrim in the state of iḥrām to hunt wild desert animals, birds, and locusts, unless there is a fear of being harmed by them.
Ruling 295: It is not permissible even for those not in a state of iḥrām to hunt within the boundaries of the Ḥaram.
Ruling 296: It is forbidden (ḥarām) for a Hajj pilgrim in the state of iḥrām to eat the meat of any hunted wild animal, whether he himself or someone else hunts it, and whether the hunter is in the state of iḥrām or not.
Ruling 297: There is no objection to hunting sea animals, such as fish, and eating their meat while in the state of iḥrām.
Ruling 298: There is no objection to slaughtering domestic animals, such as sheep and chickens, and eating their meat[1].

[1]. Given that the rulings related to hunting and its kaffārah (expiation; atonement) are very detailed, but not currently a matter of concern, we will refrain from offering them.
